Three at-home remedies!
There are plenty of products to choose from when it comes to whitening your teeth. However, teeth whitening as you know can be pretty costly and may not be the best option for those with sensitive teeth due to the chemicals used in these products.
If you want whiter teeth, but want to avoid the chemicals and spend less, below are some options you can try. Be sure to brush and floss your teeth daily as this is obviously very important to keep your teeth clean and healthy.
1. Strawberries
Brush your teeth with strawberries. Mash a couple in a small pot so the juice and flesh are exposed and use your toothbrush to apply.
Strawberries contain the tooth-whitening enzyme of malic acid, which can do wonders for your smile!
2. Baking Soda
Baking soda is a popular ingredient that can be found in commercial toothpaste due to its natural whitening properties. Create a paste with water and use your toothbrush to apply.
3. Coconut Oil Pulling
Coconut oil pulling is said to remove plaque and bacteria from your mouth, which helps to whiten your teeth. Do ensure that you are using pure and organic coconut oil.
Simple squish the oil around your mouth for a period of time and then spit it out, similar to mouth wash.
There are many more at-home remedies you can try. However, be sure to speak to your dentist and be cautious of what you use and the extent to how much you use these products.
